Midfielder Renato Sanches Is Officially Leaving Lille

The French club have decided to transfer him to PSG, who will be his club until 2027. The player had already been spotted in Paris and it has been confirmed that this will be his new home for the next five seasons.

Christian Galtier has a new player. The new manager after Pochettino’s sacking will now be able to count on Renato Sanches in midfield if he wants to.

Renato Sanches has signed for PSG until 2027. The midfielder, who has also been linked with a move to Milan, has finally arrived at the Parc des Princes.

In recent weeks, Renato Sanches visited Paris. He was spotted dining in a restaurant with his wife. For some, the trip was not for leisure, but rather to look for a home in which to start his new life, although the transfer has taken some time to be confirmed. It has been a long, slow process, as Milan were very interested and fought until the end for the player, who finally headed to the Parc des Princes.

There are no official figures on the operation. A few days ago, ‘L’Equipe’ reported that PSG would pay 15 million euros to Lille for Renato Sanches.

The midfielder has plenty of experience. He began his career at Benfica before making the move to Bayern in 2016-17. He stayed in Munich until mid-2020, although he joined Swansea for the second half of the 2017-18 season. And from Bayern he moved to Lille, a club he left two and a half seasons later.

During his time at Lille, Renato Sanches has played 91 games, scored seven goals and provided nine assists. He knows perfectly well the game in Ligue 1, so he won’t need to adapt in that sense.

PSG are in the midst of building the best possible squad for 2022-23. The objective, as always, will be to win the Champions League for the first time, a trophy that has eluded them. Renato Sanches is ready to give his all to win the UCL
